Newcastle Affordable Housing has been running for over 10 years in Newcastle, NSW.
We provide affordable boarding house accommodation for single men over
three locations across the city.
Our housing is a permanent place to call home. We welcome any man who wants to live
a good, clean life. Children are welcome to visit at any time, and at one of
our houses there is even the option for them to live with you.
In addition to your own room, each house has a range of communal areas including
kitchen, dining and relaxation areas. Our houses are clean and tidy, offer great
value for money and have live in caretakers.
Your income is not a problem, as we accept anyone on a government benefit or in
employment. We do not require a bond; instead we ask for only two weeks rent in advance.
We have a drug-free environment. Every tenant must pass a drug test to reside
at one of our houses and agree to continue with regular drug tests
while living at the house.
The consumption of alcohol is not permitted at any house - on or off the premises. We find that this
promotes the health and wellbeing of everyone who lives in our houses.
As with all of our common areas, all our kitchens and bathrooms are shared.
We work hard to make sure they are kept clean, tidy and up-to-date.

Located within the City of Newcastle area. Close to shops and transport.
This is a very quiet house in the back streets of Carrington.
It is on a bus route, and also accessible via a lovely walk from the harbour or city centre.
This house focuses on young men under the age of 30 years. We find
this mix of men works extremely well and that the atmosphere is respectful.
The house has a large in-ground swimming pool. Due to the pool, we
do not allow children on this site at any time.
This is our biggest house; there are 4 main buildings spread over
a 2000 square meter site.
This House is open to all men. However, it is particularly suitable for men who
have their children either living with them or staying over regularly, as
there are large rooms with double bunks available.
